So happy to meet you here!

A pot of hot liquorice-mint tea, a box of sinfully tasty chocolates at the ready but not too close, the most wonderful snow-clad view through the window – what a great day to start my blog.

For several years now, I have wanted to write a book. It has been tingling within me, wanting to make its appearance in the world of the reading. I was however not in a position to concentrate on my writing – it constantly slipped down the priority list. Life happened. Work occupied my time and mind and also affected my health. I suffered through some difficult times – something had to change.

And it did, big time: I found the man I wanted to grow old with; left the so-called security of a steady job and ventured into a life of creativity and entrepreneurship, combining my passion for languages with my love for children and the urge to write.

Having myself raised two wonderful daughters so that they can communicate in several languages, I wanted to help others do the same – thus the topic of my book. My hope is to instil parents with the confidence to bring up their children to speak their family’s languages. The aim of my book is to be a source of advice, inspiration and support for parents and grandparents and for anyone interested in the topic of multilingual parenting.

In my blog I will share with you my thoughts, ideas, eureka moments, ponderings and conundrums, as well as useful links and other resources.

This is an exciting time for me and I would be honoured if you could join me, and if you’ve got the time also share your thoughts about what you read. Of course, I also wish I can inspire you to read my book once it’s out. In the end, a writer without readers is a mere pen-pusher and really no use to anyone.

Please accept my humble thanks for reading, welcome back!

May the peace and power be with you.

Yours,
Rita
