Holidays in Finland, part 1

This is the time of the year when I take a bit of a break from blogging and relax on a family holiday in my native Finland. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy – more to follow next week!

It’s bilberry time in Finland, and I never miss the chance to pick this delicacy and make a pie!

The lingonberries are not quite ready yet … but soon!

The redcurrants are ready to be picked, though!

The light summer nights allow for late walks around the lakes …

… and I adore the calmness of nature you can experience late in the evening.

Wild flowers grow where they please!
